Krishna, the 8th powerful incarnation of Lord Vishnu was born on the Ashtami of Krishna Paksha or the 8th day of the dark fortnight in the month of Bhadon. And, this day is celebrated by the devotees all over the world as ‘Krishna Janmashtmi or Gokulashtmi’.

Are you feeling the spell of festivals already?

Can you hear the chanting of ‘Hare Krishna Hare Rama’, or you are murmuring it while working at your workplace? (We are doing it too!)

Whether you are gearing up for the Dahi handi competition in your locale, or you are enjoying the ‘Makhan and sugar' prasad given by your granny; the Janmashtmi fever is making us all groove to the melodious flute tune of Lord Krishna - the 8th Avatar of Vishnu.

While Mathura is tip-tapping on the sound of dhol and dipping themselves in immense divinity, we at Wooden Street are nowhere behind celebrating this beautiful festival with immense enthusiasm.

Dressed up in ethnic outfits and showing the devotion towards Lord Krishna, everyone gathered for the Pooja ritual of the ‘Kunj-Bihari'.

Here is the glimpse of the celebration at Wooden Street.

Best student, a great leader, an ideal friend, always joyful and playful; Krishna has a personality which includes all these. May he bless you with all of these qualities for your happy life!
